Life After Supper: Candlelight Tours at the Aiken-Rhett House
Guests are invited to step into the twilight of evening at the Aiken-Rhett House Museum, and experience the illumination of candlelight. During this special autumn experience, visitors will learn about the preserved-as-found 1820s house with a tilt towards life after supper and enjoy sampling authentic period-correct punch. Museum curators and staff will lead guests in engaging discussions about the people who lived and worked in the house, and perhaps share the centuries old punch recipe!
The c.1820s historic house will be illuminated by candlelight, as it would have been during the time the Aiken and Rhett family lived in the mansion. Dive deeper into this unique and historic experience at the preserved "as-found" space. We only offer this experience one time a year.
Bring an extra lantern or flashlight if you feel so inclined. The House Museum is not handicap accessible or stroller friendly.
Recommended for ages 8 and above. Tickets are required. $40 per person.
