November Updates to the Archives

Many new items have been added to the Archives/Library and the Online Catalog including property information, library items, photographs, and other visual materials. Pictured above is a Loutrel Briggs sketch plan, 59 Church Street, 1954.

Archives:

• Compilation of original deeds, titles, and other documentation related to the transfer, sale, and ownership of 72-74 Tradd Street. Also includes blueprints and photographs. Spans 1765 to 1961, likely representing the entire history of the ownership of the double tenement during that time period.
• Architectural drawings and landscape plans for 59 and 62 Church Street, various years.
• Architectural drawings of the Stewart-Parker House (Georgetown, SC), 2017.

Library:

Photographs and Other Visual Materials:

• Photographs and slides of several Charleston properties including the site of Waterfront Park before it was developed; various views after the 1911 hurricane; the Four Mile House; and buildings on Amherst, Bull, Calhoun, Cannon, and East Bay Streets.
